I Can't Sleep

Actually, this is nothing new, but tonight I have a very good reason for the insomnia. My baby sister is getting ready to go to the hospital to be induced. This means that, if all goes well, we should have a new baby boy sometime tomorrow. All I can think about is her anxiety and nervousness right now, as she strolls around Wal Mart, killing time until they can be admitted. And how there will soon be a whole new person in our family that wasn't there before. It's so exciting and amazing and a miracle! And I have to wait two whole days to meet this little miracle. Aaarrrrgggghhhh! What will I ever do to occupy my time until I get to snuggle that sweet boy and smell his newborn head?
OH yeah, that's right. My own three kids. And those extras I babysit. THAT'S why I'm not at my sister's side right this very second! Wait. I'm not sure she ever invited me. Hey, why didn't she invite me to the birth of her child? NO fair! (I'm just kidding. I just know she loves it when I make stuff all about me when really it's not at all!)

So, send some happy thoughts in the direction of northern Oklahoma if you get a chance. Maybe something like "Good Luck Lauren, hope this one isn't 10 pounds!" She'll like that.

Happy thoughts from someone that had a 10 pound baby. Hope it goes well. My sister stayed in my room the night I had my second 10 lb 11ounces. I put him down and she's pick him up. It was great. You don't have to invite it's a sister thing. Right?
